Foresight Practitioner Conference 2026

The Foresight Practitioner Conference (FPC) brings together preeminent forecasting practitioners and business leaders in a single-room setting to network, learn, and explore both fundamental and cutting-edge aspects of forecasting. The theme of this year's conference is successes and failures in AI forecasting implementations. The conference is hosted by the International Institute of Forecasters (IIF) and includes its second annual IIF Forecasting Practice Competition on March 1st, 2026 immediately prior to the upcoming Foresight Practitioner Conference (FPC) 2026.

SAfJR 2026

We are biostatisticians who organise the international conference SAfJR, which will take place at the Trippenhuis, Amsterdam, from March 25-27, 2026. The 4th International Mathematics and Statistics Student Research Symposium

The 4th International Mathematics and Statistics Student Research Symposium (IMSSRS) will be held virtually on Saturday, April 11, 2026. IMSSRS is a free conference welcoming high school, community college, undergraduate, and graduate students to present research in the mathematical sciences, explore current research topics, and connect with peers worldwide. This year's program features a plenary by Dr. Katherine B. Ensor (Rice University) titled "The Critical Role of Statistical Thinking, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow." The program also includes a panel discussion, "Life After College," on career paths for mathematical science graduates, with audience Q&A. The abstract submission deadline is March 27, 2026. While presenters must be students, all are welcome to attend.

The 11th Workshop on Biostatistics and Bioinformatics

Registration is now open for the 11th Workshop on Biostatistics and Bioinformatics in Atlanta, USA from May 8 to May 10, 2026.

Biostatistics and Bioinformatics have been playing a key and important role in statistics and other scientific research fields in recent years. The goal of this workshop is to stimulate research and to foster the interaction of researchers in Biostatistics & Bioinformatics research areas. The workshop will provide the opportunity for faculty and graduate students to meet the top researchers in a small group setting, identify important directions for future research, facilitate research collaboration.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Ming Yuan, Professor of Statistics, Department of Statistics at Columbia University.

There will be invited talks by distinguished researchers, and a poster session by young researchers and graduate students.

The workshop will be providing partial travel awards to selected conference participants. Priority will be given to senior graduate students, post-graduate, recent PhDs, junior faculty. Check the application of travel award for young researchers.

The conference honors Professor Narayanaswamy Balakrishnan-one of the world's most prolific and influential statisticians-whose scholarship, mentorship, and service have shaped modern statistical science. New Horizons on Model Transportability and Data Integration

With the availability of data and information from multiple sources and domains, the past two decades have witnessed an explosive evolution on statistical methodologies for model transportability, generalizability, data exploitation, integration, and fusion. Concurrently, the machine learning community has also forged ahead with the creation of algorithms and approaches for transfer learning, out-of-distribution prediction, semi-supervised learning, and federated learning. While many research concepts and proposals share a pertinent and akin nature, they have not yet garnered unanimous recognition.

A primary objective of this workshop is to convene statisticians, biostatisticians, computer scientists, epidemiologists, social scientists, and industry researchers. The aim is twofold: firstly, to showcase the most recent advancements in this expansive realm of research; and secondly, to cast a visionary gaze towards new horizons that lie ahead.

5th Corsican Summer School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology: Statistical methods and recent advances in statistical methods fox excess risk analysis

The Corsican Summer School on Modern Methods in Biostatistics and Epidemiology is a crucial event for learning more about statistical methods and recent advances in statistical methods for analysing excess risk. The fourth edition will take place from July 06th to 10th, 2026, in Corte (Corsica, France). This course will focus on: (i) the main statistical methods and the more recent advances in statistical methods for excess risk analysis, and (ii) the transfer of methods for net survival estimations to some other specific applications (clinical research, occupational epidemiology). The objectives of the course are: (i) to disseminate the concepts, methods and the more recent statistical tools to analyse net survival and excess mortality; (ii) to offer an informal and user-friendly setting of scientific exchanges in order to improve knowledge and practical skills to estimate, model, program, analyse and interpret results of excess risk analysis. The Summer School is aimed at biostatisticians, statisticians, epidemiologists; researchers and students; those working in a registry of cancer, of chronic disease or in any other field relevant to these methodologies and applications.
