Committee on Statistics and Disability

Charge:
To serve the disability community within ASA by, for example, working to improve accessibility and remove barriers to participation. To provide guidance to statisticians and the broader community on best practices and universal design to improve accessibility to statistics for the public and for future statisticians. To support and empower ethical statistical research on disability and accessible statistics education for people with disabilities, both within and outside of ASA.
Composition:
The committee has nine members, three of whom are appointed/reappointed each year by the President Elect for three year terms. One of the members is appointed (when necessary) by the President Elect to serve as the Chair.
