Excellence in Statistical Reporting Award Committee

Charge:
To encourage and recognize members of the communications media who have best displayed an informed interest in the science of statistics and its role in public life.
Composition:
The committee is composed of six members, two of whom are appointed/reappointed to the Committee by the President Elect each year for three year terms. The President Elect will also appoint (when necessary) a member of the committee to serve as the Chair. The Chair will assign two of the other members to coordinate the nominations and selection procedure and the other three to coordinate publicity and award presentation. The committee will also carry over strong nominations from one year to the next to help maintain a strong pool of candidates for the award. All members of the committee can make and vote on nominations for the award.
