Subcommittee on Publication Culture and Journal Reform
Charge:
This ad hoc committee is charged with examining the current state of publication practices across ASA journals and developing a concrete, actionable set of recommendations for reform. The subcommittee is not expected to solve all problems in academic publishing. Its mandate is focused: identify the reforms most likely to be both impactful and feasible within the ASA’s scope as a professional association, and propose a prioritized path forward.
Composition:
Members of the Committee on Publications appointed by the ASA President.
