Conference Information
Throughout four stimulating days, conference participants will hear about the following:
- Challenges of designing survey instruments that collect 'good' data
- New developments in pretesting and evaluation of survey questionnaires
- Role new methodologies and technologies are playing in improving data collection and instrument testing
- Methods available to improve survey instrument design
Participants will share experiences and learn from one another through focused sessions and workshops, including product demonstration. The conference will include keynote speeches from:
Gordon Willis, National Institutes of Health
Mario Callegaro, Google, UK
Participants will hear from other experts in survey methodology, learn about real-world case studies from survey agencies, and network with international peers and colleagues.
In advance of the conference, there will be opportunities to attend training courses for those relatively new to the field, as well as master classes in pretesting and question evaluation methodologies for those with more experience. At the end of the conference, workshops will be held to encourage and facilitate greater collaboration and develop future research agendas.
QDET2 2016 will offer two keynote sessions, concurrent sessions, poster sessions, short courses, and workshops (where attendees can form collaborations for future working post-conference).
A conference book featuring select papers presented at QDET2 will be published by Wiley.
