Longitudinal Data Analysis and Its Significance in Modern-Day Research (310014)

*Tamika Royal-Thomas, The University of the West Indies

Keywords: Longitudinal data analysis, Linear mixed model, Generalized estimating equations, Correlation, Methodology, Data application

Longitudinal Data Analysis is vital to research especially in the 21st century. This type of analysis looks at data over time, hence, helping to answer important questions that deals with causation. There are myriads of techniques employed to analyze longitudinal data and some of these methods such as linear mixed models, generalized estimating equations among others will be presented. Correlation structures will be examined and real data applications will be demonstrated. This study seeks to share knowledge on longitudinal data analysis and the techniques that are vital to answering key questions needed for cutting-edge research.
