*Ramadha Dilhani Piyadi Gamage, Western Washington University

Keywords: education, online teaching, undergraduate teaching

The pandemic resulted in a paradigm shift in education institutions which put pressure on both educators and students equally. Among the other challenges in adapting to online teaching, encouraging student interactions, and consistently keeping the momentum are significant. In this presentation, I will discuss strategies I have implemented for facilitating student engagement in online courses including asynchronous, synchronous, and blended settings. I will present student survey results from different levels of Statistics courses I taught. I will share the approaches employed to enhance students’ online learning experience and to make connections with the students. I will conclude with the learnings and outcomes that could potentially be carried to post-pandemic face-to-face teaching.
