The purpose of this project is to extend the work of A Digital Picture of the Actuarial Research Community by Christian Genest and Alberto Carabarin-Aguirre. This study was done on the evolution of publication patterns in the actuarial research community. The factors investigated consist of Journal, Year, Volume, Issue, Citations, and Country. We plan to investigate trends in these factors by using statistical methods in order to formulate a model to show results on the research career of female actuaries. Due to the increase in demand in the workforce for actuaries, the size of the actuarial research community has grown significantly. The actuarial female employment has increased by nearly 23% of all qualified actuaries. This significant increase in the proportion of females employed in the actuarial field leads us to the importance of an explanatory model, to testify if this growing trend also exists in the female actuarial research community. This model will help students who are considering entering the actuarial field. Additionally, it is beneficial for publishers who wish to support diversity in their publications and encourage more female researchers to publish their work.
