Drug development, from the discovery labs to the patients, is a complex and long process. The landscape of developing medicine is competitive and requires utility of innovative methods and specialized techniques to reduce the time to design studies, analyze data, and market the drugs. In this session, we will provide an overview of drug development and explore various statistical techniques used to enhance efficiencies related to drug efficacy and safety. The session will also look at the impact of big data and emerging role of data science at various stages of drug developments and public health.
