The Department of Energy National Laboratories offer a unique career trajectory including diverse, challenging, and exciting research focused on addressing critical mission areas of the U.S. government. Offering research opportunities that are often multidisciplinary in nature, these laboratories address problems across nearly all domains related to national strategic priorities.

This panel will bring together multiple perspectives on the benefits and challenges that are a part of working within this unique blend of academia and industry. Panelists will grow influence by highlighting their research and current positions within the laboratories. They will share their advice on developing leadership skills and discuss the differences in working environments and leadership roles for women at national laboratories versus prior experience elsewhere.
