Integral Projection Models for Population in Columbian Ground Squirrel (304841)
*Kyoung Ju Kim, Auburn UniversityKeywords: integral projection models, random environment, sensitivity analysis
Plant and animal could have substantial interannual variability in survival, growth rate, and fecundity. Understanding the connection between historical variation in climate and population vital rates is one way to predict the impact of future climate change. Using a data set for Columbian ground squirrel, we parameterized integral projection models (IPMs) to identify the demographic rates and climate variables, which are most important for population growth.
