The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) community faces many challenges including how to attract, retain and advance women and minorities in the STEM fields, including the fields of Statistics and Data Science. The focus of this session is to discuss ways individuals, organizations and nonprofits have implemented trainings, books, projects, and ideas to attract and empower women and minorities to study the STEM fields. Panelists from diverse backgrounds will share ideas and projects they have worked on or want to work on to address this topic. Our goal is to highlight successful ideas and projects that can attract and empower women and minorities to pursue the STEM fields.
