This study investigates the booking determinants of “sharing economy” based accommodation rentals through an analysis of Airbnb properties collected for seven cities from three countries. Poisson, Quasi-Poisson and Negative-Binomial Regressions were built using 20 variables from six categories. Our study is among the first to examine the determinants of a successful Airbnb booking across different cities and will initiate a series of further research in collaborative consumption.
