In the United States, some 8 percent of its citizenry have asthma. Asthma is a chronic condition. Typically, the sufferers learn how to cope with the condition. Serious cases do get admitted into hospitals. Some 4 percent end up in hospitals annually. The serious cases have some comorbidities compounding their asthma. We want to identify the comorbidities that go with asthma commonly. For this purpose, we need data and methods to work on the data. We do have data in the form of National Inpatient Sample. We want to harness basket analysis to answer the question we have raised.
