PS40: From Design to Submission: Statistical Graphics throughout the Lifecycle of a Clinical Trial

Clear communication is essential at every stage of a clinical trial, and statistical graphics are among the most powerful tools for achieving it. Clinical trials require trade-off evaluations by many stakeholders, and there is rarely a single right answer. Graphics play a critical role in providing clarity and enabling thorough assessment across the design, conduct, oversight, and interpretation of clinical trials. In this session, experienced clinical trial scientists share principles and concrete examples of graphical communication across a trial's lifecycle: from design exploration and operating characteristics, to operational and safety monitoring, to readout and regulatory interactions. Throughout, the session emphasizes practical considerations, best practices, and stakeholder-specific communication.
