International Census Coverage Discussion

This session will show coverage results from the recent censuses conducted in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. The United States (U.S.) Census Bureau will present results of the US household population. These will show results of the dual system estimation to determine net error and also the components of census coverage that include erroneous enumerations and omissions. UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) will show results of their coverage survey being incorporated into their one-number census results. These results accounts for estimates of undercounts and overcounts. The Statistics Canada will be showing results of their Dwelling Classification Study that shows results of trying to estimate the coverage of occupied and vacant housing units. They will examine the relationship and interaction of non-response error, dwelling classification error and coverage error for both dwellings and persons. The Australian Bureau of Statistics will present the regression estimation of their Post-Enumeration survey.
