We explored the existence, properties, and applications of exact optimal designs for computer experiments, under Gaussian-process, fixed-Gaussian-covariance-parameter, nuggetless assumptions, that prescribe a cluster of two or more points as closely spaced as practical in the design space, without being identically located.
