Large Language Models (LLMs) have transformed the landscape of artificial intelligence, enabling powerful applications in text generation, decision-making, and human–machine interaction. However, the statistical foundations underpinning LLM development, alignment, and evaluation remain underexplored. This invited session brings together leading researchers at the intersection of statistics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to discuss cutting-edge statistical theory and methodology for LLMs.
