Skills for Statistical Writing: Tips and Tricks for Improving Written Communication, Part 2

Effective writing is an essential skill for statistical practitioners, yet it is a skill that is often overlooked due to the need to learn and stay up to date on the latest statistical methodology. This course will allow participants to think critically about the writing process and learn about principles and best practices for statistical writing. Participants will be given the opportunity to improve their writing skills through interactive writing exercises. The course will address topics such as organizing and streamlining, reducing clutter, creating scopes of work and statistical analysis plans, best practices for peer review, and statistical aspects of writing such as alternatives to using the term "statistically significant."
