What Educated Citizens Should Know About Statistics and Probability, Revisited

In 2003, Jessica Utts wrote the article, What Educated Citizens Should Know About Statistics and Probability where she claimed that introductory statistics courses had not kept up with the many changes occurring throughout our world. She proposed seven ideas that every student should know. How has the statistics and data science education community been impacted by these suggestions? Are these seven ideas still important? What new ideas need to be added as the world continues to change? In this session we will have representatives from industry, government and academia discuss their perspectives.
