Statistical Genetics and Genomics: Fundamentals and Advanced Topics

This one-day short course will cover both fundamental and advanced topics in statistical genetics and genomics. Topics covered include basic genetic principles, genome-wide association studies (GWAS), polygenic risk scores, expression quantitative trait locus analysis (eQTL) and allele-specific expression (ASE) analyses, analysis of single-cell RNA-seq data, and spatial transcriptomics data. Students will be exposed to the latest methodology and computer tools in statistical genetics and genomics.
