Abstract:

In the literature, scan statistics have been proved to be powerful in detecting local clusters/anomalies. Scan statistics have been successfully applied in various models, including Bernoulli, Poisson, Normal, Expo- nential and other models. The detection procedure is usually carries out via simulation based on the assumed distribution as there is no explicit form for the distributions of spatial scan statistic in general. In addition, there is little results of scan statistics on non-homogeneous Poisson pro- cesses. In this talk, we introduce a kernel-based method to address the model misspeci cation issue and apply the scan statistic to detect copy number variation under non-homogeneous Poisson process.
