Abstract:
|
Extreme phenotype sampling approach is a cost-effective strategy to select only subjects with extreme values of a quantitative trait. It was proposed to increase the power to detect quantitative trait loci, compared to randomly selection with the same number of subjects for genotyping in genome-wide association studies. In this study we aim to investigate the power of extreme phenotype sampling with SNP set in a genome-wide association study.
