Abstract:
|
Weighted log-rank tests can be more powerful than the conventional log-rank test for detecting the treatment effect in the presence of non-proportional hazards. We demonstrate how the critical values and futility boundaries can be calculated for weighted log-rank tests in group sequential trials when the error spending functions are given. We differentiate between event fractions and information fractions for weighted log-rank tests and discuss the implications for both analytic calculations and simulation studies.
