Abstract:
|
We present an empirical evaluation of several probabilistic record linkage methods using simulations and a real-world scenario. We simulate pairs of datasets with varying numbers of errors per record and overlap between the two datasets. We match the datasets using Bayesian as well as non-Bayesian matching algorithms, and calculate measures to assess linkage accuracy, as well as accuracy in producing post-linkage estimates.
