This paper presents the work of the Advancing the Organizational Structure for a Diverse Future subcommittee. Our group was charged with reviewing the Association’s infrastructure, policies, allocation of resources, and procedures to determine if implicit or explicit racism exists and how the existence of such conflicts with the Association’s position on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) and have harmed marginalized groups. Numerous findings and recommendations are discussed that move forward the Association's JEDI goals. These include specific discussions of the ASA's strategic plan, constitution and bylaws, the JEDI outreach group, specialized communities and sections within ASA and their allocation of resources and various internal ASA organizational policies such as employment, hiring and conduct. We hope the work undertaken and relationships forged offer encouragement and advancement of ASA members and the broader statistical community in relation to JEDI goal incorporation, execution and expansion.
