Abstract:

Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are being adopted very widely but offer several challenges when it comes to the utilization and ROI. This panel from industry and academia will share thoughts on casual inference based on real world data and examples using software demo to predict certain outcomes. This panel will also share open source code on utilization of artificial intelligence for Safety data. Panelists: 1. Mark van der Laan (laan@berkeley.edu) Professor in Biostatistics & Statistics at UC-Berkeley sub-topic: Targeted Learning with software demonstrations to real world examples 2. Jingjing Chen (Jingjing.Chen@takeda.com) Director, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Cambridge MA sub-topic: Supervised machine learning regression models for predicting treatment outcomes 3. Prof Jaroslaw Harezlak(harezlak@iu.edu) Professor Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington sub-topic: Extracting information from the raw accelerometry data; health outcomes applications 4.Melvin Munsaka (Melvin.munsaka@abbvie.com) Senior Director, AbbVie, Inc sub-topic: Open source code for AI with Safety Data.
