Evidence-based social policymaking has come to full fruition with the advent of technological infrastructure, methodological innovation, and general acceptance of data science as a guiding principle. However, issues arise and abound, as the volume and timeline of data continue to increase and contract, respectively, without limit. We discuss the current state of the art in social policymaking using AI foundations, specifically the role of statistical science in the mainstream age; we address how the profession can anticipate and tackle tough issues as we work towards better policies and programs for social well-being when N>>t.
