Abstract:

In a joint dynamic model of recurrent competing risks (RCR) and terminal event (TE), the RCRs are informative about the risk of TE occurrence. When several RCRs are involved, the importance of each RCR in the model becomes an interesting question. In the context of prediction, we discuss some answers to this question by examining predictive accuracy measures when using the joint dynamic model for predicting occurrence of the TE.
