Abstract:

As Business Analytics and Data Science for business continue to evolve, there is much uncertainty about what business programs should teach. This panel discussion will bring together a diverse group of individuals from both the business sector and academia that will try to shed some light on the subject. The panel will begin with business analytics professionals presenting what skills and tool sets they are seeing as critical in this environment. This will be followed by academics teaching business analytics and data science presenting their latest thinking with respect to how academia can prepare students to be able to perform in this ever-changing environment.
