Abstract:
|
As the recognition of the value that statisticians and data scientists bring to scientific research grows, so does the need to train the next generation of applied statisticians. The panelists have expertise as applied statisticians, teachers, and mentors to discuss best practices for educating students who wish to pursue careers as applied statisticians themselves. A new series of educational videos for teaching statistical consulting and collaboration will be discussed along with other pedagogical tools and strategies.
