Abstract:
|
Safety monitoring and benefit risk evaluation play essential roles throughout the life cycle of drug development. They require iterative and aggregated analyses of accumulating evidence, either qualitatively or quantitatively. This presentation will first discuss proactive approaches in aggregate safety assessment planning and benefit-risk-assessment planning. We will then focus on visual analytical techniques to enable the planning, implementation and communication for safety and benefit risk evaluation. We will illustrate these by open-source visualization tool(s) in tandem with scientifically rigorous workflow. This presentation is based on the interdisciplinary efforts by the ASA safety working group.
