Abstract:
|
Since the partnership’s formation in 2013, Fred Hutchinson (FH) has been a strategic partner in planning and developing Sanofi Pasteur’s dengue vaccine program. FH statisticians have been actively engaged in this collaboration by providing input on Phase 3 trial design, providing support at the advisory and regulatory meetings, and developing and applying novel statistical approaches for the analysis of the emerging data. In particular, we developed models quantifying how neutralizing antibody titers measured at baseline and post vaccination predict subsequent dengue disease and correlate with the vaccine efficacy (VE), and developed novel methods to extrapolate VE to older populations beyond the age range of the trial populations.
