Abstract:
|
In spite of the fact that F.N. David often proclaimed that she didn’t like teaching, she was a tour de force in the classroom and there were many reasons that she was known as a remarkable educator and teacher. This session takes a look at her work as the founding Department Chair of the Department of Statistics at U.C. Riverside from a student’s perspective. From her general interest course on Games, Gods & Gambling to the last course that Ph.D. students took before they left the department, her impact on students at all levels was indisputable.
