Abstract:
|
Estimated values of unobservable factors in Factor Analysis can be used for both variable selection as well as clustering of cases into groups. We implement Factor Analysis on a US mass shooting database with these two goals. The nature of the clusters suggested by Factor Analysis will be highlighted. Salient features from these shooting incidents, as well as intra-and inter-group characteristics, will also be discussed.
