Abstract:
|
Understanding the underlying connection between emergency rooms can better support decision-making for both patients and hospitals. County/Hospital Alert Tracking System provides real-time and historical information for alerts to describe utilization for hospital emergency room at Maryland. We use clustering methods for 21 hospitals in Region III to identify similarity between emergency rooms and make comparisons for behavior of alerts between clusters. Then we suggest two ways to find cascading events in Region III, explore patterns for such event, and how hospitals are connected. Finally, we want to predict such events using machine learning techniques.
