                    | Abstract: |
My role within the Loras College Basketball program offers me the opportunity to perform basketball analytics at the Division III level. The resources available to a statistical analyst in Division III is limited and requires largely manual data collection. I analyze offensive efficiency based on pace of play and shot quality to understand when the team scores the most points per possession during a game. To make this data presentable to the coaching staff, I build dashboards using data visualization software and compile reports with my summaries. My role with the Loras College Basketball team provides a glimpse into the work required to provide data driven solutions to a basketball team and the level of analysis capable of being completed by a one-man analytics department.
