In a medical service environment, wait-time probabilities (and related cost functions) often denote a mixture distributiom of sequential events that must occur from patient arrival until service completion. In this roundtable discussion, we will discuss the mixture of two exponentiated Weibull distributions to obtain the probability that a patient will need to wait more then (z) minutes from arrival at the post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) until completion of surgery.
