Abstract:

NIH defines team science as a “collaborative effort to address a scientific challenge that leverages the strengths and expertise of professionals trained in different fields.” In this multi-disciplinary landscape, the need for strong statistical leadership is critical. Often there is conflicting ideas on how the study should be designed and implemented, as well as different priorities of individual team members that need to be balanced. In this roundtable, we will discuss strategies and skills for building strong team collaborations, and how to be an effective leader to ensure sound study design and analysis.
