Abstract #300334
Title: Challenges When Applying Advanced Analytics to Multiple Data Sources
Author(s): David Ohlssen*
Companies: Novartis
Keywords: causal inference ; statistical machine learning ; Real World Evidence; Bayesian Statistics
Abstract:

A more accurate understanding of prognosis and disease progression often requires synthesizing data from multiple domains (e.g. clinical trials, RWE, registry, digital, omics platform). Although, each source can provide valuable information, they are often difficult to link. Put simply, each source collects different data making any analytics strategy challenging. This talk will discuss the complications faced when using different types of data and provide examples of synthesis using advanced analytics, statistical machine learning and causal inference approaches.
