Abstract:
|
The presentation will discuss the interpretation of causal effects in the presence of multiple versions of treatment and ill-defined interventions and how these can be conceptualized in terms of latent variables, along with the challenges in interpretation and in confounding assessment when using such conceptualizations. The presentation will also consider the potentially problematic use of latent constructs from factor analysis and measurement theory when used for the purposes of assessing causality.
