Abstract:
|
The relative lack of objective outcome measures presents a longstanding challenge in developing pharmacologic treatments for central nervous system (CNS) disorders, especially in the neurobehavioral health area. The availability of smartphone applications has created the opportunity to collect digital samples in the clinical trial setting paving the way for the discovery of digital biomarkers. This presentation describes the integration of digital biomarker identification into a CNS drug development program. The process of data collection with smartphone applications in an interventional clinical trial will be described as will the approach to preliminary digital feature identification through analysis of data obtained from an observational study.
