Abstract:
|
The CPS ASEC is the source of official national estimates of income, asking detailed questions on income from over 50 sources. In 2014, the survey instrument was redesigned to better capture retirement income and assets. This paper evaluates the effects of these changes as well as changes in survey processing and advances in imputation methods to address item nonresponse on income estimates.
