You have succeeded as an individual contributor effectively leading at both the protocol and program levels. Are you ready move up the ladder into the next-level position? Do the skills that you have acquired and honed in those roles translate well to those required to provide influence as a people manager? As the third talk of this leadership series, I will share thoughts on key characteristics and skills that are important in the management and development of individual contributors as well as in your own growth within the organization. I will discuss why it is critical to recruit and build a dynamic and diverse team, how to create an environment that fosters excellence, what behaviors to model/avoid in order to be a successful people manager, and what your development plan should include to prepare for the next step in your career.
