Abstract:
|
Assessing heterogeneity of a drug's treatment effect across patient subgroups is an important aspect of understanding the benefit of a new therapy. Bayesian hierarchical models are particularly well-suited to estimation of these subgroup effects. In this talk, we present an example using a hierarchical model within an adaptive design to evaluate subgroup-specific decision rules.
