Abstract:

In biomedical studies, longitudinal measurements are collected in an effort to understand a trend of response variables over time and a subject-specfic timing of event often has a significant influence on the trend. In this talk, we will introduce several interesting scientic questions that arise in the clinical study and prospective study, respectively, and provide the timing-of-event dependent model that address the scientific questions. This modeling is very appealing to researchers in that this allows us to explore not only the dynamic trend of outcomes over time, but also how the changes in the trend is influenced by the subject-specific timing of event. The proposed model is fitted to real data from the aforementioned studies, and the results of data analyses will be also discussed in the talk.
