Abstract:
|
It is well-known that the drug combination analysis, based on the seminal work of median-effect approach of Chou and Talalay (1984), is sensitive to extreme values of dose response when applied to assess drug synergy in combination therapies. Here we propose a robust approach to estimate dose response curves. Simulation shows that the proposed method can significantly reduce the estimation bias and mean squared error.
