Abstract:

Statistical programmers have been playing a key role in manage the data into the information in many industries. Their roles could be even more critical and evolve with the recent initiatives, such as real world data, CDISC requirement and data transparency. In this session, the speakers from a software company, FDA and biopharmaceutical industrial will share their aspects and experience on the programmers' role transition and emerging opportunity for their leading role in the big data era.

This session focuses on statistical programmers and analysts role transition from the past to the future. This session will also identify the skills needed during throughout the transition. This session should encourage the programmers to continue to enhance their leadership skills, and accept more leadership roles in data science with statistical thinking.
