Abstract

The purpose of this project is to analyze data from a Division I collegiate hockey team, the St. Lawrence University (SLU) Saints. Using video footage of multiple games from the 2016-17 season, students from the St. Lawrence University Sports Analytics Club recorded shot attempts by the SLU women's team. For each shot several metric were recorded including shooter, outcome and (x,y) location. In this poster we will present some visualizations and results from this project.
