Abstract:
|
The gsDesign R package uses well-documented algorithms for deriving and updating group sequential designs. Since a programming interface is not for all, a web-based interface was developed using the Shiny interface tools from RStudio. This provides a great deal of flexibility for input and output with an easy-to-use interface. An additional valuable feature is to generate R code that can be saved and reused. For specialized application templates or for documenting and summarizing designs, R Markdown can be particularly useful. This combination provides a powerful and flexible toolset for generating and applying group sequential designs for clinical trials.
